Put your Sellsy accounts, contacts and deals on the map so reps can see what's nearby and managers can see coverage at a glance.

1. Open Data Sources

In GeoMaps, open the menu in the top-right corner of the map and choose Data Sources. Add a new source and select Sellsy to open its connection form.

2. Connect Sellsy

Sellsy connects with a secure sign-in — no API key needed.

  • Click Connect Sellsy and sign in to your Sellsy account.
  • Approve the access GeoMaps asks for.
  • Choose the objects to import — Companies, Individuals, Contacts and Opportunities.

Companies (clients, prospects and suppliers) and Individuals are placed at their invoicing address. Contacts and Opportunities are placed at their company's location automatically. For an opportunity sold to an individual, switch its address field to the Individual's address.

3. Choose what to map

Pick the object(s) you want to plot and confirm which field holds the address (GeoMaps suggests one for you). Every record is geocoded and dropped on the map, then kept in sync on a schedule as your data changes.

Good to know

  • Two-way sync: click the pencil next to a field in a marker popup to change it. The edit is saved in Sellsy too and shows up in the data source's Logs.
  • New records: right-click the map and choose Add marker to add a company, individual or contact to Sellsy. Opportunities can't be created from GeoMaps.
  • Sync: GeoMaps re-reads Sellsy about every 30 minutes. Each sync uses part of your Sellsy account's API quota, which it shares with your other Sellsy apps.
  • Owners: to let each rep see only their own records, choose Owner as the owner field. See Managing who sees your data.

Troubleshooting

  • "Sellsy didn't allow this … needs a licence and access to this data": the Sellsy user who connected needs a licence and access to that data (for example a sales licence for opportunities). Reconnect as a user who has them.
  • "You signed in to a different Sellsy account": a data source stays tied to the Sellsy account it was created with. Sign in to that account, or add the other one as a new data source.
  • Reconnecting: open Data Sources, pick the Sellsy source, click Connection and then Reconnect, and sign in again. Your lists, filters and styling are kept.

Disconnect Sellsy

Open Data Sources, pick the Sellsy source and click Delete data source. Its lists are removed from GeoMaps; nothing is deleted in Sellsy.
