What a parcel map is good for

Real estate

Check lot lines, acreage and the last sale before a listing appointment, or scan a farm area lot by lot.

Solar and home services

See lot size and year built before a site visit, and spot the properties that fit what you sell.

Land and site selection

Size up parcels by acreage and land use, and see where one lot ends and the next begins.

Insurance and field work

Look up a property's parcel number and value from the map instead of searching the county website.

In GeoMaps, parcels sit under your own customers, routes and territories, so you can see which lots your customers are on. Need other public maps, like flood zones or aerial photos? Add them as WMS & tile layers.

Parcel map: FAQ

Where does the parcel data come from?
From public parcel map services run by state and county GIS offices. GeoMaps shows their data live, so it's as current as the county's own map, and it doesn't keep a copy. The source and its update date are shown with every parcel.
Which areas are covered?
Today the map covers statewide in 22 states, parts of 7 more, and 29 counties and cities, listed on this page. Coverage depends on which governments publish their parcels openly, and more areas are added over time. Outside them the map says there's no parcel data yet.
Can I see who owns a parcel?
Owner names are public record in most states, but this free tool doesn't show them. Sign up for a free GeoMaps account to see the owner where the county publishes it.
How accurate are the property lines?
They come from county tax maps, which are good for planning and research but are not surveys. For a legal boundary, ask a licensed surveyor or check the recorded plat or deed.
Is the parcel map free?
Yes, with no signup. There's a generous hourly limit on lookups per visitor to keep it fast for everyone.
Can I use parcels with my own data?
Yes. In GeoMaps you can switch on parcels from the map-style menu, under your customers, routes and territories, and click any lot for its details, including the owner.
