Password-protecting a map

When a map isn't for the whole world, lock it behind a password so only the right people can open it.

Set a password

In the Share settings of a published map, add a password. Visitors must enter it before the map loads.

Share access carefully

Send the link and the password only to the people who should see it. Remove the password any time to make the map public again, or change it to revoke access for anyone who had the old one.
